Details
An amazing proof buffalo with immaculate preservation and completely devoid of marks and/or spots. Some light toning is evident over amazing proof surfaces. By 1916 the mint had lowered production of proof buffalo nickels to just 600 coins. The matte finish proved unpopular because due to it's similarity to business strike's appearance. The early matte proof buffalos didn't gain widespread popularity until modern times. This example is still housed in the OGH. CAC certified.
